Subject: Updates coming soon
Date: 2010-06-29 11:48:19

wow, it's been about 4 months now since the last update, Crystal still does not know how to use my very simple update pages, and so leaves it all to me... but I have been extremely busy with university over the last few months. Updates will be coming soon though, as I am doing my final project I will be able to update a little from time to time :)

One major change to the site is that www.lac-web.co.uk no longer links to this part of the site, only www.larryandcrystal.co.uk does. I have separated them to keep www.lac-web.co.uk as a website design site and only that. Therefore it will look a little more professional when I include that link on external sites that I have created for people.

Well so much has happened recently, but Happy New year to everyone, even if it is 18 days too late :D. I have had exams recently and so have not had too much time to update anything, but slowly I have started. So within this week, you will see updates for both this and my Red Dwarf site happen.

Subject: Football and Nuclear Bombs
Date: 2009-11-30 10:58:12

I have not really updated this news section for a while, but I guess some of the most talked about events recently have been Frances Hand-Ball win in the World Cup Play-Off (during a Football match, NOT actually a Hand Ball match), and Irans nuclear ambitions.

What I do find funny about Irans nuclear ambitions is the fact that America and some other countries are condemning it, yet America especially does not even have a leg to stand on in this debate as America is the only country in history to drop an nuclear bomb on a city, and they did not even drop one, they dropped two. When it comes down to it, America is the worlds largest terrorist country, killing millions of innocent people during wars, legal or not in the last 100 years. It is true, they have killed far more innocent people than any so called terrorist organisation has done.

Well I must congratulate the England squad for their victory. 8 out 8 is great and of course enabled them to qualify for the World cup next year. Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland have not been so lucky and will have to wait another 4 years for a chance. I am a little surprised by Scotland´s poor performance though, I thought that they would have done much better in their group.

Well I gained a 2i in Archaeology and also gained an extra year... although I still look much younger than 27 :D

All in all it has been a great day, with my family coming up also, and now I have a Masters to look forward to.

Well, the European elections are over and Labour suffered a not very surprising defeat. UKIP however did very well, but the surprise of the night went to the BNP gaining two seats. The votes for the BNP were more than likely protest votes, but still the country could have done better... the protest votes could have gone to UKIP.

Well this years Eurovision song contest went well, the UK finished 5th, and although I do not believe Turkey deserved 4th place nor Azerbaijan with 3rd. Norway deserved the win though, it is always nice to see someone mix singing with playing an instrument, while Iceland’s display was very good, very pretty. The worst song of the contest had to be that from France. It was very bland, very dull, she didn’t move around the stage and well… basically it was just boring. Germany’s song was also good and worth a mention, very old school style.

Subject: Additional content
Date: 2009-04-19 00:06:09

As you may have noticed, there have been many new pictures placed into the Photo section, with more still to come. Not only have there been new photos, but also old photos taken from China last year, to graduation in 2006 and a Brasov Visitor one taken in 2004.

I have also added extra content to the China adventure. Including a nice little bit about me being accused of being a spy. Although the follow up will come near the end, where TNT was detected on my camera bag at the airport... If anyone is thinking about travelling with a Lowepro camera bag through airports, take my advice and just DO NOT, stick it in a rucksack or something... stupid Lowepro, what the hell did they make the bag out of in order for the machine to detect TNT?

There have been a number of small changes to the, firstly the copyright links on the blog pages has been fixed, secondly the size of the font has been altered and lastly, the photo albums now re-arrange themselves in order of most recently updated.

My Red Dwarf site is also very nearly back up and running, just a few pages extra and a little code to fix.

Also the comments forms are now all working again, as they had stopped working after the move from Lycos.

www.larryandcrystal.co.uk and www.reddwarfx.co.uk are now fully at Strato, the later though is not up and running yet, I have to re-upload all of the content. I will be doing this slowly, so do not expect anything major just yet. There is new however for the New Red Dwarf episodes, due to be aired April 10th, and I would suggest a quick trip to the official Red Dwarf website to discover move.

Now that this site is fully operational again, there will be more Blogs and an updated Adventures page in the coming weeks.

The Lycos webhosting service will be no more, meaning that at some point in the future mysite will be moved to another host, hopefully trouble free. This will happen sometime next year, so there is plenty of time left with Lycos, but when the time comes, expect delays or pages to be down for a small period of time.
