Subject: Washing Machine Repair update
Date: 2010-3月-18日

Tried to call Mr D.Pike again this morning but did not get through. A few minutes later he called back. I told him that he left a card yesterday to which he replied "Yes, because we had an appointment". So I explained that I originally said that I could not get back for 1.30, but he said "you'd be better finding someone else, I don't want to be messed around".

Well I have to admit that was not a very professional attitude, and I certainly will not be recommending him...ever... I will however take his advice and call a more professional company.

If he was annoyed by me not being there on time, then he himself was also late according to the time he left on his calling card.

Crystal sent a number of links to other companies, so I will try 0800 REPAIR. They seem more professional, with quite a nice website also.

Last week our landlord made a with a Mr D.Pike for 1pm, even though I did originally say that I could not get back until 1.30pm, Mr D.Pike did turn up, and left a card saying that he called at 1.15pm.

I tried to call later in the evening but never got through on the phone. I will try again tomorrow.

Subject: SWI Assessment
Date: 2010-3月-17日

Well today was the last today for the Software Engineering open assessment, the test cases were sent early in the morning by one member of the group, and so me and another member integrated them into the report as well s adding a few more. Each member then took 30 pages each to print out and a contents and illustrations list was drawn up quickly before it was handed in 10 minutes before the deadline. The actual Java application was submitted around 11:20.

At noon the Web design open assessment became available, 8 weeks to design a website. I am looking forward to this one.

Crystal collect one package from the post office today, it was indeed our passports. The visa though is now part of the ID card... probably not the best thing, especially when travelling as you will now have to provide both card and passport.

One thing that really annoys me at work is when Americans, after the British flag has been selected for English commentary, ask why there is no American. Well, there is no American because the language you speak is English, because America was a British colony...

Subject: Visa
Date: 2010-3月-05日

We had received two missed parcel cards today, one of which was actually dated yesterday. Both of them should be Crystal's visa and our passports. So I have to arrange another date for them to be delivered now. At least she has been granted a new visa though.

Subject: PS3 error
Date: 2010-3月-01日

I was quite amused at hearing the older PS3's have ran into trouble with the date, causing all sorts of problems with loss of data... I mean, what kind of console is not able to keep the date correct, especially when (like windows) it can connect to the net to update... oh the poor suckers that once spent hundreds of pounds on one of those consoles were probably ready to hack it to bits haha
