Subject: Insane Week Date: 2010-1月-30日 This has been another insane week. When I use to work in Aviva, I use to always be moaning about how easy my work was that it was completely a waste of my brain cells. My current job is certainly not easy…sometimes I have to struggle, there is so much to do everyday and it is endless. The good thing is I have lovely Imegon to read German emails for me every time so I don’t even have to try, hehe~ We went out to Slug and Lettuce tonight, I loved my lemonade, don’t understand why people like beer tho. Subject: Another Meeting Date: 2010-1月-27日 Another Wednesday and another meeting. This time there were only a few people and I was the only student rep there. This is good in one way as I will get to know them a little better. This meeting was based around the teaching over the last few years and so I could not really comment on anything in detail, or at all most of the time. Subject: Sean Date: 2010-1月-25日 Another new guy was coming today, and I was told his name is Sean. And he is actually my photography friend Sean, he is the last Sean I would expect to turn up in the world. How ironic is this!!! When we saw each other, we were both quite shocked, we haven’t seen each other for so long. We use to work together and he was really nice to me, he is nice to everybody really, he is so good mannered that I have never heard him swear and he used to try to stop me from swearing when I was pissed off…..right…… But….but!!!! He did not let me recommend him so I couldn't get another 1000! His defence was that he did not know, well, it was true. But I might still let him pay for this, mwu~ hahahaha! Ahhh~~~ I really miss my pals, but they are all so busy, especially Daryl. He works at a Vampires time….. he does shifts when there are only insane people and owls awake. Author: Crystal

Subject: Shield Painting Date: 2010-1月-23日 I had a really fun time at work today; I and a few others drew on some very large round bits of wood and then painted them. Basically we were painting shield for the Viking festival boat that will be burnt sometime in February. Subject: Timetables Date: 2010-1月-22日 I had to have a word with the course supervisor today regarding Tuesdays timetabling. We have a block of five hours in the afternoon and it is proving to be a bit too much for some people. So we will have to wait and see what happens now. Author: Larry

Subject: Board of Studies Date: 2010-1月-20日 Well, not much today, one lecture in the morning and then a Board of Studies (BoS) meeting in the afternoon. Being student rep I should attend these, but there is nothing really new and a lot of things relating to the I.T course will be brought in next year anyway, when I will not even be there. Subject: APC Result Date: 2010-1月-19日 Today I received the mark for my first open exam, APC (Advanced Programming Concepts), and it was 40/50 or 80%, which is very good considering I have never programmed in Java before, and there are people who have programmed in Java before that gained lower marks. Just have to wait for the other results to come back now, and in the mean time, just get on with the new lectures. Author: Larry

Subject: Third Exam - MIP Date: 2010-1月-16日 A maths exam is never good, but even worse than that is a maths exam in the morning and although one may think it cannot get any worse; this maths exam was on a Saturday morning as 9am. MIP is not a favourite subject of mine, but I did study quite hard all week, and I hope feel the exam went well, I am at least hoping for a pass anyway which is quite ironic really as the MIP exam was the one that I was dreading and it actually turns out that I am now worried more about the CSI exam I took the other day. Subject: Second Exam - HCI Date: 2010-1月-14日 The second exam, HCI (Human Computer Interface), I stayed up a little late lat night revising and rememorizing nearly everything for this, and I feel that it should have paid off. There was only one question worth 5 marks that I could not answer. The first 2 marks were directed to what patterns were while the last 3 marks were directed to three advantages of patterns over guidelines. Guidelines (or heuristics) are easy, so I simply used the disadvantages of them as the advantages of patterns. Even if I still get no marks for that question, it was worth a shot, better than leaving it blank anyway. Author: Larry

Subject: First Exam - CSI Date: 2010-1月-13日 The first of three exams this week was CSI at 16:30. It did not go as well as I expected. I answered the first section (worth 10 marks) as best as I could, although would be surprised if I get more than 6 marks from it. The second section was ok, although I know for a fact that two questions, worth 1 mark each are wrong, and we will just have to see about the others though. On the third section, my mind went blank for Floating point numbers and PicoBlaze assembly language code, I did try to answer those questions but fear I have dropped 12 marks straight away from it. The other 8 marks I did answer, but we will have to wait and see in the end. Author: Larry
