 | Subject: New Year and Valentines Day Date: 2010-2月-14日
Two celebrations in as many days. First of course is Chinese New Year. Yesterday I was working all day, and I mean all day, from 9 in the morning until about 9 at night... not good.
Today I was also working, but finished about 5:30pm, so we ate together and watched Ice Age 3. It is actually not that bad, providing you get past the fact that they portray a lost land deep under the Ice, yet there is still sunshine lol :P There also seems to be so many sexual jokes in there also, great fun.
Apparently, this new year is also bad luck if you have children or get married. Traditionally spring falls as the end of January and the New Year should be before it. This year however falls after it, which means the Tiger babies born this year will be born without spring, which is traditionally very bad luck. Because of this, it is also known as the widow maker year, and if you get married, the husband will die prematurely due to an accident.
One website, if you can read Chinese is;
